The Edgewood Lions Club hosts Food Drives, offers Free Vision Screening, assists in operating the Book Barn to support the Edgewood Community Library, and works with Wildlife West, our local nature sanctuary.
Our club offers free vision screening to school children through 3rd grade and to members of our community regardless of age at Health Fairs and town events. This past year, we screened more than 1,000 children and adults.
Annually, our club hosts several Food Drives to support our local community. We raise food and money donations to support both Bethel Storehouse in Moriarty and the East Mountain Food Pantry near Edgewood.
Our club helps many local activities serving hot dogs for our local Ford dealership, supporting town events like the recent Edgewood 25 celebration by hosting a Senior Health Fair, and we help operate the Edgewood Book Barn which raises money to help the Edgewood Community Library.
We are always looking for ways to help the children of our community. We host, with our local Police Department, an annual Bicycle Rally to help children learn how to be safe on the road. We also donate to buy shoes to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranches and assist with town activities for kids.
Our Edgewood Lions Club hosts an annual Arts and Crafts Show to offer local artists and craftspeople an opportunity to show their wares to our community. Hundreds of people come by each to year enjoy the show!
Besides working hard to help our community, we also make time to enjoy our Lions family. We bowl together, have parties together, and have fellowship time before our meetings. Come join us today!
