what edgewood Lions Do

Vision Program

Our club offers free vision screening to school children through 3rd grade and to members of our community regardless of age at Health Fairs and town events. This past year, we screened more than 1,000 children and adults. We also collect used glasses for recycling around the world and offer free glasses at Health Fairs.

Food Drives

Annually, our club hosts several Food Drives to support our local community.  We raise food and money donations to support both Bethel Storehouse in Moriarty and the East Mountain Food Pantry near Edgewood.

Supporting Our Community

Our club helps many local activities serving hot dogs for our local Ford dealership, supporting town events like the recent Edgewood 25 celebration by hosting a Senior Health Fair, and we help operate the Edgewood Book Barn which raises money to help the Edgewood Community Library.

Helping our Kids

Supporting Community Arts and Crafts

We are always looking for ways to help the children of our community. We host, with our local Police Department, an annual Bicycle Rodeo to help children learn how to be safe on the road.  We also donate to buy new shoes to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranches and assist with town activities for kids.
